第一人稱
a) 男
僕(ぼく)[boku]：小孩子用語。適用從會說話開始，到小學中高年級為止的小男生。
俺(おれ)[ore]： 適用年紀稍長(國小高年級或國中)後，一直到大學畢業前的男生。
部分個性較為內向的男生，仍會繼續使用「僕」，相反地，有些較外向的男生，可能小學時就開始使用「俺」。
私(わたし)[watashi]：出社會開始工作後，在人前會使用「私」。不過私底下用「俺」的人也不少。
わし[washi]：常見於老年人。
b)女
あたし[atashi]：多為高下以下的年輕女生使用。感覺較不正式。
私(わたし)[watashi] ：一般女生稱呼自己的說法。
c)鄙人
私(わたくし)：比更謙虛的說法，對教授上司或是客戶時使用。
僕(ぼく) ：男性教職人員、政治家等一般認定社會地位較高的人，經常使用作為自我稱呼，用以表示謙虛，為特別用法。
第二人稱
あなた[anata] 較不正式
比较礼貌的是直接稱呼對方名字或職稱(好像要接wa?)
＊我們建議，在稱呼對方時，請直接稱呼名字或職稱或直接省略，無論在任何場合下，都最好別使用「あなた」。
お前 【おまえomae】 you (formerly honorific, now sometimes derog. term referring to an equal or inferior), presence (of a god, nobleman, etc.)
第三人稱
彼(かれ)」(他) 【kare]
彼女(かのじょ)」[kanojyo] (她) 較不正式
另外，稱呼自己的男女朋友時，也用「彼・彼女」。因此，直接使用名字稱呼第三者時，也比較不會產生誤會。
